Becoming Homeless to Reach the Homeless

Mitch , Pastor Pete and I (Chaille) talked with John who has gone through the ministry school at The Anchor. John just returned from China and is now ministering to the homeless in Nashville. John has taken a very unique approach. He sensed that the Spirit was calling him to go and live among the homeless this summer.

John is living with the homeless and sharing Jesus on a daily basis. He is not just going one day a week to give. He is pouring out his life to connect with the homeless. His story touched our team as we saw a guy who really answered the call to go where the Master has led him.

It is very humbling to see a guy who embraces his mission with such fervor. I want to complain about the heat. But he goes without a home, a shower, a "normal" life without any reservation at all. John has truly challenged many of us on the team, especially the adults.

Here is a picture of Mitch talking with John after a few of us just finished praying for him.
